In this paper, spline collocation methods are applied to solve linear and nonlinear Fredholm – integro-differential equations. Two spline collocation methods are presented in the paper and examples are used to illustrate the ability of the spline collocation methods. The results reveal that the proposed spline methods are very effective and simple and results obtained are compared favorably with known results in closed form solutions.

Keywords: Integro-differential equation, standard spline approximation, non-polynomial spline approximation, collocation.
